Thanks to Angela for this Frugal Baby Tip!

This will probably be more then you want to know, lol... but it's the evolution of our "clothesline". The first real clothesline I used was a mens t-shirt (cut across the body into loops) then looped together. This was hung on a pair of hooks on the deck. Worked for half a load of diapers, but then the deck was unuseable.

Second real clothes line is a pair of wheels (bought at Hechingers, but most home improvement type stores should have similar items) screwed into the outside of our odd shaped raised deck...strung between these is a nylon cord that actually rolls (can you tell I'm excited and glad it works).

I recently found a retractable clothes line in the camping section of Target manufactured by Coleman (or at least that's the name on the thing). Not sure how it would work full time, but it would be out of the way.

Another thought would be if you had two trees/poles/upright strong thingies, to attach a hook into... You could take a rope, make a loop on both ends and hook that into the hooks (preferably something stronger then the cup hooks I used).

My best suggestion would be to take a stroll through either a home
improvements store (or Target/Kmart/Walmart) and go hunting. Most of the employees don't have a clue what's outside of their department, and some don't know what is in their department... So take a little time, and make it an adventure. The people in Target just love me (not) for this and remember don't just look for things marked clothesline.

Someone mentioned re-stringing an older clothes line... You might want to check out yardsales (or *gasp* do a little dumpster diving) for one you could revive.
