Actually there is a lot you can do *if* it is yeast. Like Lotrimin AF creme (which is what most doctors are recommending these days around here anyhow)... or yogurt on it... and in them.
Also make sure to wash hands scrupulously after diaper changing to prevent nipple infections if you are nursing and recontamination (actually... just a good habit in general to prevent all sorts of contaminations).
Diapers would need drying in the sun or boiling or *hot* drying or bleach (shudder). Avoid at all costs powders with corn starch. Oral suppliments of live acidophilis/bifidus are a good thing. there are other things too but this is a good start.
