Thanks to Angela for this Frugal Baby Tip!
Tracie asked:
Is there a pattern out there that would convert prefolds to fitted diapers?
I haven't seen a comercial pattern, but I did see a picture that someone sent to a list where they did the same thing. What this person did was fold the sides in a bit to form a casing (I think it was 1" or 1/2"), straight stitched it down, and then added elastic inside the casing. The finished product looked more like a pinnable fitted then a prefold.
The only problem would be if you needed the diaper to be as wide as a prefold, since with this method you'd lose some width. Other then that I thought it was a clever idea.
