You could just cut up an old microfleece shirt into diaper size strips, no need to sew anything - they won't fray - and lay the fleece inside the diaper. It will keep your baby feeling drier, the poop will fall right off it, and you can just toss it into your diaper pail with the diaper. It works well for us.
