Thanks to Keppy for this Frugal Baby Tip!
My mom and I recently started making our own diapers. My baby isn't here yet -- due in about 4 weeks -- so I can't speak from experience yet how well they worked, but here is what we did...
We took 1/2 yard of patterned flannel, 1/2 yard unbleached flannel, and a bath towel (washed) cut into 6.5 inch sections...
Put the terry cloth in the middle (to make a prefold) and serged all the way around. We surged each seperate piece of flannel before we sewed them together, too, btw...
Also washed everything in hot water before we started...Will try to let you know how they work out!!!
