To Angela, I think why your diaper wasn't as uniform is because maybe it wasn't exactly square. Maybe try folding it until it IS square and then try the fold. I used it with my daughter this morning and it would have worked great except for the
fact that she has diahrea. YUCK!! I remembered someone's post about using terry to help catch the breastmilk poops and ran to get my terry liners.
Speaking of terry liners, here's a great idea. Walmart has a dozen washcloths for about $3.00 and some change. If you fold them in half or thirds and lay them inside your diaper, they catch poops great. I folded mine in thirds and stitched around the outside to hold it all in place.
