Diaper Sewing_: Make Your Own Diapers

Thanks to Amanda for this Frugal Baby Tip!

Actually, what I did was sewed a pad of two layers of terry (and I cheated, I used a towel that had ripped and was no good for bathing).

Then I had cut a gauze flat diaper to be a little bigger than the size of the pad.

I made that to be like an envelope for the terry pad.

Then I sewed the pad to one side of flannel.

I sewed another piece of flannel to the original piece (so that it was inside out....print to print), turned it all right-side out.

I re-serged the pad so that it would be sewn to BOTH pieces of flannel.

Sound confusing?

It was REALLY easy, took me just a few minutes to whip up, and I am NO sewing expert.

But I LOVE THIS DIAPER!
