Diapering_: Gerber Diaper Liners

Thanks to Maria for this Frugal Baby Tip!

The Gerber ones aren't supposed to be flushed, but they are washable, and will get softer and softer with time, and last practically forever. I am still working on the first 3rd of a box that I bought over 6 months ago.

I used to feel guilty for throwing away the ones that had just been peed on, and washed a few by accident that my husband had thrown in the diaper pail.

They were so soft! And I've discovered that even breastfeed-type poops rinse off easier than they do off a diaper, so I rinse even the poopy ones now. My daughter eats solids, but at times nurses more than usual, and even then, I have no problems rinsing off the poops. The more solid poops roll right off.

But, if you do decide to use them & wash them, don't dry them in the dryer, because they'll melt on you and get all over your diapers! I just leave them laying in a pile and they're dry in about 15 minutes.
