Diaper Sewing_: What fabrics to use?

My first successful fitted (it was round three) made from an old receiving blanket. The pattern is based on my favorite diaper of TegansThanks to Sally for this Frugal Baby Tip!

I have made diapers (fitted) with regular printed flannel. It was pretty thin, but worked.

I know Wal-Mart sells diaper flannel or "super" flannel, that is a bit thicker and I will use next time. I would probably use that for contour diapers too.

I tried an old receiving blanket that seemed pretty thin, but once it was a diaper it was thick, compared to the flannel I bought at the fabric store. It still worked, and absorbs really well.

I also want to try knit jersey (cotton poly mix or 100% cotton). That should be really soft and comfy!

Those are my ideas!
