Thanks to Laura for this Frugal Baby Tip!Witch Hazel?
Witchhazel is cooling and toning. It's good for sore eyes and bruising. It can be a bit drying though, because most witchhazel contains a goodly amount of alcohol.
Johnson and Johnson baby wash?
Well it's not the best, because it's got a lot of synthetic stuff and synthetic perfume in it. Try a pure vegetable based foam bath or shampoo instead.
Tea Tree Oil?
Tea tree oil is good for fungus infections, kills bacteria, takes some of the heat out of things. use it carefully though, because it can actually make you sensitive to it, and anything in it, over a period of time.
i.e. You wouldn't have a reaction the first few times you use it, then the next time, you might get a little itchy or sore. The time after that the area might swell up a bit. The time after that it would swell up a lot, as might the inside of your lips and eyes, and it would get even worse every time you used it after that.
This doesn't happen in many people, but it does happen in enough people for it to be something to watch for. Never use it at more than 2 per cent strength if you don't want this to happen. 3 drops is OK in this recipe.
Lavender?
Lavender is a very good oil to have because it's gentle, and very safe. It kills pain caused by diaper rash, is a very good disinfectant, antibacterial, and calming and relaxing too.

If you don't have any other essential oil in the house, you should have lavender, but make sure it's a good lavender, low in 1-8 cineol - less than 2 per cent. If your lavender smells very menthol like, it's a trash lavender and isn't as safe to use as it could be. Lavender at least is absolutely essential for a good, effective wipe solution.
