Thanks to Angi & Sue Ellen for this Frugal Baby Tip!The Natural Baby Company wants $29.95-139.95 for a wool Puddle Pad!
Angi said: I've always used wool blankets on my daughter's futon, they've been fine with soaking up small leaks from both ends. Don't know how they'd be with a total pee puddle (like for a child's accident) though, but for nappy leaks and dribble/vomit they work great, our futon has no stains.
Sue Ellen said: You could try a thrift store for a nice sized wool blanket ... I'm sure it would be cheaper than $110! Another idea I got from a gal the other day was to use fleece. Sometimes you can get a nice fleece blanket on sale new at Walmart or the like for relatively inexpensive.
