Thanks to Ness for this Frugal Baby Tip!
What is this fascination with lining the pail? Is it for the ease of transferring dirty dipes to the wash or protecting a plastic bucket? 'Cus if it's the latter, then I don't get it. If the pail gets poopy, hose it out. If it gets smelly, air it out (or sun it out). It is a receptacle for poop-- why must it be sparkling clean?
I used daughter #1's bucket for about 2 years, and she stood on the lid a few times and broke it. I needed a bigger pail, anyway, so I have recycled the old pail into daughter #2's clothes hamper. In fact, I used it for dirty clothes, with no lid, for a couple weeks before I realized that it actually needed to be scrubbed out a bit. There was no smell.
